December 29, 2024 – Happy Christmukkah!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the unique event we experienced: Western Christmas coincided with the first day of Hanukkah! The sages of both religions have confirmed that this is a sign of great good to come. May it be so!

On this last Sunday of the year, let us remember all those who have returned to their home, and those who lost their lives due to violence, wars, and famine that continue to ravage our planet.

Let us be thankful that we are here, alive, and let us be empowered to do good.

In the legal field, 2024 was marked by dismissals, with no trial dates yet set. It began with an opinion from Lord Sales of the Privy Council, which, in our view, contradicts the very Privy Council decision of April 2017. However, as we have not seen the full opinion yet, we cannot appeal. The year ended with a decision from the Supreme Court by the Hon. Madame Justice Carla Card Stubbs, pronounced on 16 December 2024. The ruling promised by the end of that week, 20 December 2024, has not yet arrived. We remain hopeful that the judge may vary her decision.

The next key dates are:

  • 13 January 2025: Leave to appeal for Credit Suisse
  • 24 February 2025: A potential light at the end of the tunnel, when we hope to learn when the trial will be and when our preliminary applications will be heard, or at least scheduled.

I know that justice will prevail. I continue to focus on the good and remain endlessly grateful to all of you for your support and for standing with us. But I will save this reflection for another post.

Today is a day to release all negativity and let go of everything we don’t want to carry into the New Year. May this great release come to pass, and with it, may we free ourselves from all the unwanted, unjust, and corrupt evils that dwell within us.
