I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and are enjoying these last days of autumn.

This year’s Thanksgiving coincided with a very sad date – the eighth anniversary of the passing of my beloved Mom. She was a Holocaust survivor and a young widow who raised me in a dream-like childhood despite the grey surroundings of the Soviet Union. She was full of life, wit, always joking with her unbelievable sense of humor, smile, her neverending reading of books which ultimately brought to her nickname – “walking Enciclopedy”. Her love for traveling, people, life and its little joys. But one Saturday morning, in April 2015 her heart was broken by the delivery of the possession order at 6:30 am in our home, by the personal order of the lawyer, Marco Turnquest. He is still unpunished, and from the transcript evidence, he lied to the honorable judge Milton Evans during the hearing in 2015 four times. Yet, he is still practicing.

In any event, nothing could be expected from this sort of person, but as the daughter of my mom, I feel shame for the behavior of these individuals. It is not acceptable for human beings to stoop to such a low level.

On the legal side, none of our applications have received a date, so we are now opposing the Court of Appeal’s taxation scheduled for 28, 29, and 30 November 2023. In our skeleton argument , we brought to the attention of the Registrar, Madame Kristin Wallace-Whitfield, that the case has been consolidated, our counterclaim has not been heard, and UBS’s summary judgment for possession of residential land is still before the Privy Council, London (UK), where two applications for special leave to appeal are currently pending and have not yet been decided.

There is also silence in the Supreme Court. There is no trial date, and on 8th December 2023, Hon. Madam Justice Carla Card-Stubbs scheduled for the hearing UBS’s oppressive application to sell our house at no value.

Amidst the intensity of this situation, especially when you feel that justice could be served better, our unaltered faith in justice and the triumph of equity persists despite fourteen years of hardship and nine years of legal battles, where for the past five years we are homeless and our survival is really miracle.

I am endlessly thankful to all of you for your unwavering support, attention, prayers, and help.

Bound to the memory and honor of my Mom, I will not give up until justice is served.
