Dear Friends and Supporters,

Today is also a day of historical remembrance. 2 February 2026 marks the 83rd anniversary of the victory at the Battle of Stalingrad. In the final days of that battle, German Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus surrendered the German Army. 

I hope 2026 started magically for all of you and will continue so!

Greetings from an unusually cold Nassau, 13°C, something we do not recall experiencing before. Even the data confirms it (See Time and Date climate records for Nassau.)

The past weeks brought both light and strain. We witnessed a meaningful and positive challenge in our boys’ lives and are deeply thankful to a dear friend — a brilliant trader and writer — who made it possible, as well as to the hosting family. Our gratitude also goes, as always, to our friends and supporters in the Bahamas and abroad. This long and difficult battle would not be possible without you.

Stalingrad was a victory beyond ordinary military calculation. A country devastated by the Revolution of 1917, the Civil War of 1918–1922, Stalin’s purges, and the moste of the more talented offciers, more devoted to the idea of new heavenly state on Earth, were the most talented rather executed kept in lagers in Suberia, GULAG. of its officer corps stood against the largest and most mechanized military force the world had ever seen.

Fear ruled daily life. People slept, expecting the knock of the Black Voronok at night. Intellectuals kept emergency bundles by their beds. My own grandparents lived under that reality.

Yet, in the face of the ideology that declared one nation superior to all others — dehumanizing Jews, Slavs, Black,s and Gypsis alike — people of more than 124 nations, commonly grouped under the name “Russians,” stood together to stop that evil. The Allies’ intervention in 1944 further helped to achieve the Victory.

And in our battle against evil, which of course is a micro portion of the whole centuries-long war against corruption, oppression,  the final ten days of January 2026 carried their own intensity, not of war, but of judicial pressure. What follows is a precise and factual chronology. I leave it to the reader to consider whether this reflects the principle established over eight centuries ago in the Magna Carta:
