There is something I have been thinking about for a long time. And this is, in a way, the anthem of this new category on our website.

In a world filled with noise, institutions, and carefully crafted statements, one simple truth remains — nothing can happen without us, human beings, making a move.

A simple question arises:

Who is personally responsible?

Not “the bank.”
Not “the system.”
Not “the supervisor.”
Not “the structure.”

But people.

For years, when I tried to speak in this way — to point not only at events, but at individuals — it was treated as something improper. As if responsibility must remain abstract, never named.

Back in May 2018, at our first appearance before the Honorable Ian Winder (as he then was, now Chief Justice of The Bahamas), I was brought to the point of risk of being expelled from the courtroom if I did not stop what was called “personal attacks” on the lawyer.

This is how courts are shaped.

And our two lawsuits, where we pointed to the people exactly responsible for our eviction and the illegal removal of our belongings, are still presented almost as something improper — almost as an anathema — by UBS counsel whenever there is an occasion.

But why?

And yet, all decisions are made by people.

At the same time, there is another side — one that deserves just as much attention:

Those who choose to stand up.

Whistleblowers.
Individuals who speak when it is easier to stay silent.
Those who act, knowing the cost.

Here, I will speak about both:
those who are responsible — and those who have the courage to act.

Not to accuse lightly.
Not to praise blindly.
But to look at things as they are.

Because without personal responsibility, there is no justice.
And without courage, there is no truth.
